Hi! I'm Harper of Harper's Hair Culture.

 

As a curly-haired human, I understand the desire to find someone that truly appreciates the elegance of curls. We need patience, knowledge, and options to keep our hair happy, healthy, and a priority. I am truly obsessed with curls and want to share my love for them with you.

 

My Passion is not only creating custom hair design and color but also making sure your hair stays healthy, enhances your natural curl and you can re-create the style through a hair routine that fits your lifestyle so you are always looking good!

 

My mission is to create a Hair Culture: to give back to the community, support local business owners, be eco-conscientious, train and educate both clients and other hair artists in our curly community.

1. If you search my purse you’ll find 50 different lip colors

2. In another life I would be a dancer

3. I’m always on the hunt for good dairy-free and vegan foods.

4. I AM TERRIFIED of the ocean. I never want to be in, near, or above the ocean. Especially ocean creatures 😩 

5. I have three little, adorable humans I love but I really despise the laundry piles and would love to never have to do laundry again

Meet Tabrea

Meet our stylist and OG salon assistant Tabrea (She/Her) - She is now accepting clients on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. She is a newly licensed stylist who joined HHC in Fall 2020.

Her Fave service: HHC Curly Cut // She's the curly bob queen!

Her Fave drink: Any type of juice! She especially loves apple juice + vodka

One thing she wants to work on this year: Tabrea wants to explore and learn more about other places outside of travel. She loves hearing about our client's travel experiences. 

Tabrea is excited about growing her curly education. 

Message from Tabrea: I've always wanted to do something creative. I just didn't know what. I then found beauty school and discovered that I loved doing curly hair from the tightest to the loosest curl! I graduated in 2020 during quarantine and started training with Harper. I want to make everyone feel comfortable in our space.

Where are you located? Our salon address is 6629 University AVE 103 Middleton WI 53562. We are next to Middleton Jewelers and Total Health Chiro inside the formerly known Hair Centre in suite 103. There is plenty of parking. Please text or call us when you arrive.

 

What service should I book? If you are new or haven’t been to the salon in 3 months you will be required to book a new client service. If you are interested in color service you must get a new client service and we will then book your color service after your new client service. We are committed to healthy hair and quality color services.

 

What are your COVID guidelines? Your safety is our priority. We require masks, hand washing/sanitizing, and limited guests. We have plenty of space in our salon to keep everyone socially distanced. If you are feeling any symptoms or are sick we are asking you to reschedule. We are following Dane county health regulations. If you are considered high risk, we ask that you post-pone your salon services until further notice.

 

How should I prepare for my curly services? New and Returning clients should come with no more than a 3-day old wash-and-go style. Please refrain from heavy products, oils, butters, or gels. New clients and curly cuts will receive a cleanse and condition and any treatments needed to remove build-up. Avoid extra fees by making sure your hair is properly detangled.

 

How should I prepare for my color? Please come with your hair down and dry within 3 days from your last shampoo. Avoid heavy products or dry shampoo within the week of your color. There will be an added pre-cleansing fee if we must shampoo and blow-dry before color application. Avoid henna, chemicals, box color, etc. It is super important for you to be honest with your stylist.

 

What are your salon policies? Our salon policies are located on our online booking page, here. For a quick reference, we do require 48 hours for cancellations or rescheduling. Unless you are feeling ill. Please be respectful of our time and health. We do not offer refunds. We are committed to providing quality services and products. We are always happy to provide samples when possible.

 

What products do you use? We have tried and tested tons of products and narrowed it down to our favorite products that we LOVE. WE use REF, Innersense Organics, and select AG hair products. We are happy to give product recommendations to our clients receiving services. We show you which products your hair needs and how to use them the right way. Say goodbye to wasting money on junk products.

 

What products do you recommend for me? The only way we can give you proper product recommendations and applications is by getting your hair wet and seeing your curl elements. Please book a New Curl service for a step-by-step lesson.
